    Welcome to Foster Elementary Art!  Where we foster a love of art and creativity!

    This will be my 10th year as the art teacher at Foster!  What a wonderful decade it has been for me in my life. Foster Elementary is a happy place to work, with amazing teachers and students!  I hold a BFA in Visual Communications and am alternatively certified to teach art, EC-12th grades. I also hold an ESL certification. Elementary art is my preferred level to teach since children have an innocent and honest view of themselves and their world and communicate that through their art. They freely express themselves and are unafraid to experiment and find joy in the creative process. I learn from them every day.

  • The Texas Art Educators Association has awarded Humble I.S.D. the "District of Distinction" award for oustanding leadership in promoting the visual arts in our district and community.  Over 1,000 districts were eligible for this award, and only 20 earned it through an application process which required evidence shown of participation in TAEA sponsored events and beyond.  I am so proud to be a member of such an amazing and passionate professional organization that truly has only the highest standards and support for it's educator's and students in the visual arts.
