I am part of the ALTs (Academic Lead Teachers) and Support Team fulfilling the role of Reading Interventionist here at Park Lakes Elementary. I service both monolingual and bilingual students. I have been teaching for 12 years. I have been part of the Humble Family and Park Lakes Elementary for 9  years. Prior to coming out of the classroom and becoming a Reading Interventionist, I taught Kindergarten, Second, and Third grade.

I  graduated from the University of Houston Downtown with a Bachelors degree in Interdisciplinary Studies. I also received my Masters degree as a Reading Specialist from Grand Canyon University.

I constantly strive to foster an environment where students will feel socially and emotionally safe. Student achievement is my goal. I hope to instill a passion for reading and a love for learning. I seek to build confidence in all the students that I work with. I teach each child as an individual, meeting them right where they are academically. I  encourage them to never give up and find their strengths. Every Child is gifted, they just unwrap their packages at different times.
