    Algebra I Grades 9-12 (2202)
    Prerequisite None
    1 Credit
Emphasizes properties and structure of mathematics. The focus is to solve relevant problems and apply algebraic principles in a variety of situations.

    Geometry  Grades 9-12 (2212)
    Prerequisite Algebra I
    1 Credit
This course focuses on connections where students sole relevant problems applying geometric properties of real-world situations.

    Algebraic Reasoning Grades 10-12 (2229)
    Prerequisite Algebra I
    1 Credit
Students will use algebraic, graphical and geometric reasoning to recognize patters and structures.  Course is designed to finalize processes and prepare student for Algebra II using more concrete models and processes.

    Algebra II Grades 10-12 (2222)
Prerequisite Algebra 1 and Geometry. Students should have passed TAKS and passed Geometry with an 80 and taken Mathematical Models.
    1 Credit
This is advanced Algebra and it relates or extends concepts to previously learned material.

    Pre-Calculus (2232) (2232D)
Prerequisite Algebra II and Geometry with an average of 75 in both
    1 Credit
This course is a functional approach integrating the topics of trigonometry, elementary analysis, analytic geometry and number theory. DUAL CREDIT FROM LONE STAR COLLEGE  AVAILABLE.

    HONOR MATH COURSES

Geometry Pre AP Grades 9-12 (2213)
Prerequisite Algebra I in the 8th grade with an 80 average or high school with an 90 average.
    1 Credit
In addition to the material covered in regular geometry class, this more advanced course delves into deductive reasoning through an intensive study of logic. The course moves at an accelerated pace.

Algebra II Pre AP Grades 10-12 ( 2223)
Prerequisite Geometry Honors with an 80 Average
    1 Credit
Accelerated pace requiring less repetitive reinforcement of concepts than the L level course. This provides more in-depth coverage of all the topics in regular Algebra II as well as the study of writing algebraic proofs

    Pre-Calculus AB/BC Grades 11-12 (2233) (2233D)
Prerequisite Algebra II Honors with a 80 average
    1 Credit
Integrates trigonometry, elementary analysis, analytic geometry and number theory.  There is more emphasis on real-world applications and the study of topics. DUAL CREDIT FROM LONE STAR COLLEGE IS AVAILABLE.

    ADVANCED PLACEMENT MATH

    Calculus AB Grade 12 (2243) (2243B)
    Prerequisite Pre-Calculus Honors or Level
    1 Credit
Covers topics of elementary functions, differential and integral calculus. Students will evaluate limits, analyze and apply the notions of continuity and differentiability to algebraic and trigonometric functions.
If successful student should be prepared to take the College Board AB advanced Placement exam in May. DUAL CREDIT FROM LONE STAR COLLEGE IS AVAILABLE.

    Calculus BC  Grade 12 (2244) ( 2244D)
    Prerequisite Pre-Calculus Honors or Level
    1 Credit
Covers all topics in the AB course plus the student will learn to differentiate and integrate hyperbolic functions, use more advanced techniques of integration, evaluate improper integrals, use differentiation and integration to explore many different areas. If successful student should be prepared take the College Board AB advanced placement exam in May. DUAL CREDIT FROM LONE STARE COLLEGE IS AVAILABLE.

    Statistics Grade 11-12 (2234)
    Prerequisite Algebra II
    1 Credit
Students will be introduced to major  concepts and tolls for collecting, analyzing and drawing conclusions from data. If successful the students should be prepared to take the College Board Advanced Placement Statistics Examination in May.
