    American Sign Language I Grades 10-12 (5700)
    Prerequisite - None

    Provide Instruction in receptive and expressive signing in one-to-one and group settings. Students will study aspects of the culture of deaf people.
     
    American Sign Language II Grades 11-12 (5701)

    Provide instruction in advanced receptive and expressive sign language skills.

    Students will be able to participate in simple conversations of French learning fundamental grammar and aspects of the French culture
     
    French II Grade 10-12 (5603)
    Prerequisite - French I

    Emphasizes mastery of basic language patterns with correct pronunciation and intonation. This class will write short compositions.
     
    French II Pre-AP Grade 10-12 (5604)
    Prerequisite -District recommendation
    1 Credit
    Students will master the requirements of French II curriculum at an accelerated pace. Students will read and develop writing skills. Active participation of oral communication
     
    French III PreAP Grade 11-12 (5606) 
    Prerequisite - District recommendation from from French II Pre-AP

    Students will master TEKS in listening, speaking, reading, writing, culture and language in great depth. DUAL CREDIT FROM LONE STAR COLLEGE IS AVAILABLE
     
    French IV AP Language and Culture (5607) 
    Prerequisite - District recommendation  from French III Pre-AP

    This  will prepare students to take the advanced placements exam in French. Students will be able to read newspapers, magazine, literary texts and cultural texts in French. DUAL CREDIT FROM LONE STAR COLLEGE IS AVAILABLE
     
     
    Spanish I Grades 9-12 (5631)

    Students will be able to understand and participate in simple conversations the Spanish. Will be introduced to Hispanic culture.
     
    Spanish II Grades 9-12 (5633)
    Prerequisite - Spanish I
    1 Credit
    Will emphasize mastery of basic language patters with correct pronunciation and intonations.
     
    Spanish II Pre-AP Grades 9-12 (5634)
    Prerequisite - District recommendation
    1 Credit
    Will be a proficiency-oriented curriculum in which students will learn to use the language as accurately as possible in simulated real-life situations. The four skills of reading, writing, listening, and speaking will be taught in context along with culture.
     
    Spanish III Pre-AP Grades 9-12 (5636) 
    Prerequisite - District recommendations or Beginning Spanish I and II for Native Speakers

    Students will master TEKS for LOTE in depth and at an accelerated rate. Use of language in oral and written activities. 
     
    Spanish IV AP Language Grades 10-12 (5637)

    Extended study of language and grammar. Students will develop and refine skills in reading, writing, speaking and listening. 
     
    Spanish V AP Liturature Grades 10-12 (5638)
    Prerequisite - Spanish III Pre-AP & IV
    1 Credit
    Extended study of Hispanic Literature. Students will develop and refine skills in comparing and contrasting 38 different works of Hispanic authors, artists, and leaders.
