This school year marks my 25th year teaching English in Humble ISD and my first year at K Park. I feel honored to be here and am so proud to call K Park my new home. I'm a 1995 graduate from Humble High School and an alumni of the University of Houston, where I received a Bachelor of Arts degree in English Literature and Education. I have two beautiful children whom I adore! My daughter, Faith, is 21 and graduated from AHS in 2019. My son, Anthony, is 13 and an 8th grader. As a parent, I understand the qualities we look for in our child's teacher. I strive to be the type of teacher I would want for my own daughter or son. I have a nurturing, motherly style and take pride in building relationships with all students. I truly want them to feel safe, encouraged, and important every day. I adore all things literature and writing and use my passion to inspire my students. My personal motto is a quote from one of my favorite novels, To Kill a Mockingbird, "You never really understand a person until you consider things from his point of view." In my spare time, I love fishing, reading mystery novels, enjoying family time and watching Astros baseball.

Students, check Schoology for the most up-to-date view of your grades. In Schoology, I post a calendar of assignments as well as weekly folders to keep all assignments organized and easy to access. After school, if you need help or have questions, simply message me in Schoology or school email. I am always happy to help!
