Welcome to the Pine Forest Health Clinic

  • **Humble ISD COVID-19 PROTOCOL - PLEASE READ**

Parents must screen students DAILY before sending to school for the following symptoms not normal for them:

    High Risk:

    • Fever greater than 100°
    • Cough (new onset or worsening cough with asthma)
    • Shortness of breath / increase work of breathing
    • Loss of sense of taste and smell

    Low Risk:

    • Sore throat
    • Nasal congetsion / nasal discharge
    • Nausea / vomiting / diarrhea
    • Myalgias (muscle aches) unrelated to excercise / injury
    • Headache
    • Fatigue
    • If the student is sent home by the nurse for above symptoms the following applies:

      • Students with one high risk COVID symptoms or 2 low risk symptoms will be sent home and follow re-entry criteria below.
      • Students with one low risk COVID symptoms will be sent home and may return in 24 hours if symptoms resolve and no other COVID symptoms are present. *24 hour period will start the morning following the day the student is sent home / develops symptoms.

If the student develops symptoms AT HOME that are NOT normal for them (fever-see below) and may be related to COVID, the district asks they stay home and follow the same criteria above.

If your student develops symptoms AT HOME that ARE normal for them and you feel are NOT related to COVID (fever-see below), they may return in 24 hours if symptoms resolve without the help of medications and no other COVID symptoms are present.

*ALL FEVERS of 100.0 or greater must stay home and follow the re-entry criteria below*

PLEASE report any POSITIVE COVID result to your campus ASAP so we can minimize spread.  You will also need to complete the following HumbleISD form if not done by your campus nurse:  Student COVID-19 Reporting Form.

They may re-enter school when one of the following three options have been satisfied:

    Re-Entry Criteria:

    Option 1:

10 calendar days have passed since symptoms first started; or if asymptomatic, 10 calendar days from the date of positive COVID test, AND

24 hours since recovery (for example-no fever without use of medications; no diarrhea without medications, etc.), AND

    Symptoms have significantly improved.

    Option 2:

Student is cleared by a medical professional with an alternate diagnosis ruling out COVID (ex. Asthma, some other illness, etc.).

The letter MUST state alternate diagnosis other than COVID - it cannot just say "Return to School" (for health privacy reasons the note does not need to indicate what the alternative diagnosis is).

(If your physician is unable to accommodate this requirement please see the other two options.)

    Option 3:

Student tests negative for acute COVID-19 swab test (not antibody blood test).

RESULTS need to be submitted to me at holly.raymond@humble.isd.

Humble ISD is offering free testing Mon-Fri, appointment is required.

For more information please see: Free Humble ISD COVID testing

    ABSENCES:

Please notify us via the absence line for all absences and state if you feel their illness is COVID related or if they have received a positive COVID test.

    CLOSE CONTACT:

If your student is a close contact of a confirmed COVID positive individual, Humble ISD advises parents to keep student home for 14 calendar days and consult with a medical provider.

Students may contact their teacher for classwork and login to MyHumble from home to have absence removed.
