Welcome to the 2014-2015 school year! I am looking forward to working with you and your children to build a positive school culture through classroom guidance, small group, individual counseling, the Why Try program, and many other exciting avenues! If you have any questions or concerns about your child's social/emotional well being, please feel free to contact me.
This school year, guidance lessons and social skills will be centered on one of the 6 Pillars of Character. Each month, we will focus on various topics relating to respect, responsibility, caring, trustworthiness, citizenship, and fairness. In addition to teaching lessons in the specials rotation, I will be available for individual classes to sign up for more intense and targeted lessons. My hope is that classroom teachers will join in on the lesson and further support the development of positive character traits.
