    ¿Qué es la Sociedad Honoraria Hispánica? (What is SHH?)
      
    Sociedad Honoraria Hispánica es una sociedad de honor académica centrada en la excelencia idioma española. Cada miembro de la sociedad debe haber tomado un mínimo de tres semestres de español o portugués. Él / ella tiene la obligación de mantener un "grado de honor" o GPA, que se correlaciona con la misión de alto logro académico de la Sociedad.
     
    Sociedad Honoraria Hispánica is an academic honor society focused on Spanish language excellence. Every member of society should have taken a minimum of three semesters of Spanish or Portuguese. He / she is required to maintain a "honor grade" or GPA, which correlates with the Society's mission of high academic performance. 
     
    Who can join?

    You must be currently enrolled in Spanish 3 PreAP or Native Speakers AP 
    You must have three consecutive semesters of A (90) averages in Spanish (in high school)
    You must have an overall B (80) average in all other courses
    You must have a clean academic and disciplinary record

    What if I don’t plan to take Spanish 4 or 5?

    You may still be inducted and serve as an active member and officer while enrolled in Spanish 3 or Native Speakers AP. 
    When no longer enrolled in a Spanish course you may continue to serve as an honorary member.
        
    What are some advantages of joining SHH?
     
       Service Learning
       Leadership
       Exposure to other cultures
       Continue using your Spanish in different settings
       Looks very good on a college application
       Join members in fun activities that promote the Hispanic language and culture
       Wear an honor cord and/or stole at graduation
       Receive awards/scholarships
