It's ALWAYS a GREAT day to be a Fall Creek Cardinal!
It is with excitement that I enter my 16th year in education. I hold a Bachelor of Science Degree in Interdisciplinary Studies from Sam Houston State University and earned my Masters Degree in Educational Leadership from The University of Texas at Arlington in 2011.
I taught 3rd and 5th grades for three years in Humble ISD. During my time as a third grade classroom teacher in 2008, I received Teacher of the Year at Timbers Elementary School and was chosen as Humble ISD's Elementary Teacher of the Year. I spent my next four years in education as an Instructional Coach and Gifted & Talented Campus Coordinator impacting the professional growth of teachers and academic growth of students with a focus on closing the achievement gap. In 2012, I accepted a position as the assistant principal at Barrett Primary School where I spent two years before becoming the principal at Crosby Elementary School. I was the principal of Crosby Elementary School for four years where I was named a 2015-2016 Region 4 Principal Recognition Recipient representing Crosby ISD.
At Fall Creek Elementary, we believe that the culture of our campus should first be one where students feel loved, respected and safe then the learning process can begin. I hold high expectations for myself, staff and students that are achieved due to the positive, hard working, motivating and risk-taking atmosphere that has been established at Fall Creek Elementary. All decisions at Fall Creek Elementary are student-centered to ensure students' academic, emotional and social needs are met, as educating the whole child is our priority.
In my spare time, I enjoy spending time with my family, friends, reading, being outdoors and sports.
