     Trophy

Kingwood Mustang Football team was selected by the Touchdown Club of Houston as the winner of the Class 6A Division of the 10th annual Comerica Bank Sportsmanship Award presented by the Fellowship of Christian Athletes, reflecting honor and fair play for the 2014 Greater Houston high school football Season!

Finalists are selected by the Greater Houston Texas Association of Sports Officials, football division, who are the referees who call area high school football games. The refs fill out cards and rate schools on 1) actions of the team during each high school football game, 2) actions of the head coach, 3) actions of the support groups at the game, such as parents, band and pep squad, 4) respect for the American flag, and 5) a score based on the number of personal fouls and unsportsmanlike conduct fouls incurred during the game. The other finalists in Class 6A were Clear Creek, Cypress Ridge, Dekaney, Dobie, Hastings, Katy Taylor, Kempner, Klein, Langham Creek, Memorial, Morton Ranch, North Shore, Pearland and Tompkins.

This is a great honor that recognizes the sportsmanship of everyone involved and/or is supportive at our football games.  This trophy is also for our community, our parents, the band, Fillies, Cheerleaders, and Student Council!
