    High School Band is a full year course that allows each student to learn and grow as a student musician. Each course taught will be skills related based on a student audition. During the school year all band students participate in the marching band at UIL and N.A.M.M.B. contests. After the marching season is complete, the bands split into their concert organizations where students are encouraged to participate in the T.M.E.A. All State process through the audition competition.. In the spring semester students will participate in the UIL solo and ensemble contest along with UIL Concert and Sight Reading competitions. at the conclusin of the year the band students perform a Spring concert along with playing for graduation for each Senior Class Graduation exercises.

    It is the expectation of each band student to prepare all assessments, be ready to perform and actively participate in all aspects of the band program.

    3rd: return to AHS
    4th: Wind Symphony
    5th: Symphonic 1
    6th: Wind Ensemble
    7th: Applied Music

    Tutoring by appointment with Tuesday-Friday morning being the most desirable time prior to first bell.
