How do I know I have a lost/ overdue Humble Middle School Library Book?

You may have received an email indicating you have a lost or overdue book.  Before you make a payment, please make sure that you have lost a Humble MS Library book by looking for the 'HMS' lettering in the book barcode. If it has any other letters, that book needs to be paid to that school. 

How do I pay for a lost or overdue book?

Lost or overdue books due to the Humble MS Library can be paid for by visiting the HMS Library Online Payment System/RevTrak

How do I pay for a lost/overdue elementary Library Book?

For instance, an overdue book with the initials 'NBE" indicates the book belongs to North Belt Elementary and payment for this book would need to be made to NBE directly.  (Do not make these payments to Humble Middle School.). Only the librarian at NBE can clear the fines for those missing books.

Hours

The HMS Library Media Center is open from 8 am to 4 pm every day.

1. Any student not visiting with a class during the day MUST have a hall pass from a teacher or they will not be allowed in the Media Center. 
2. Students are NOT allowed to visit the library during lunch without special permission from the media specialist.
3. Food and drink are not allowed without special permission from the media specialist.
4. Bad language and rude or inappropriate behavior will result in a student's immediate dismissal from the library and may include a disciplinary referral if necessary.

Book Check Outs

Students are allowed to check out 3 books at a time and may keep them for up to 2 weeks.  If they need additional time to read their books, they will need to renew them at the HMS library.  

Books can be returned anytime in one of the locked book return bins located around the library.

Overdue books will incur fines.
