The Creekwood Counselors believe that a sound program of guidance and counseling is an integral part of a middle school student's educational program.  The goal of the counselors is to guide students toward becoming effective decision-makers and responsible citizens, while considering each student's developmental needs.   Students may visit with their grade-level counselor by signing up in the counseling office, being referred by a parent, or being referred by CMS staff or teachers. Services provided by the counselors include informing students about course options, planning individual student academic programs, facilitating student small-group discussions, helping students with decision-making, suggesting ways to improve study skills, and helping students deal with peer or family issues.
