Hello! Salam!
I am new to teaching! Which means I have many years of life experience to share with my students. I love all my students and feel truly honored to be a part of their educational experience.
I grew up in Madison, Wisconsin and went to college at the University of California - Davis. I spent most of my adult career living and working abroad, mainly in the Middle East, but I also traveled to several African countries for work. I hold a master’s degree in International Economic Development from the University of London - School of Oriental and African Studies. I worked for the United Nations Development Program (UNDP) and many other local and international development organizations.
Our family decided to relocate to the US and found ourselves in Kingwood for my husband’s work. I am a HumbleISD parent myself. I take great pride in being both a parent in and a teacher for this district. I speak Arabic fluently, I love to travel, read, and take long walks- ideally with my children if I can drag them along with me.
