Howdy Longhorns! My name is Michael Anthis and I am proud to be returning to the Longhorn Family at RMS this school year! I'll be teaching a split between 6th Grade World Cultures and 8th Grade Advanced U.S. History. I previously served as a 7th Grade Texas History Teacher at RMS back from 2012-2015. I taught two more years at AMS before venturing off into the world of school counseling for five wonderful years (most recently Ridge Creek Elementary here in Humble ISD). Yet I longed to return to the classroom for the joy of teaching and sharing my passion for all things history! In my spare time, you find me running, watching sports, studying theology, or spending quality time with family. I've been married for 18 amazing years to Ms. Jessica Anthis (Theater Teaching Legend at AMS); and we have two awesome boys named Micah (11 almost 12) and Lincoln (8). I'm beyond excited for this 2022-2023 school year at RMS! IT'S A GREAT DAY TO BE A LONGHORN!
