High School Hacks: A Virtual Special Event for all Humble ISD 8th Graders and their Parents
Eighth graders and their parents are invited to obtain real-life advice from a panel of high school students through a special event hosted by the Superintendent’s Student Advisory Council. High School Hacks will be livestreamed via Zoom at 7 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 4, and viewable at www.humbleisd.highschoolhacks.
Students from each high school in Humble ISD will address questions that students commonly have as they transition from middle school to high school. Eighth graders and their parents can view the panel presentation and will be able to ask additional questions to panelists at the end through the Q&A function of the webinar.
High School Hacks is hosted as a service to incoming freshmen by the Superintendent’s Student Advisory Council. The Student Advisory Council meets throughout the year and is composed of Humble ISD students in grades 9-12 who were chosen as Students of Character at the end of their eighth grade year. The Council provides a forum for Superintendent Dr. Elizabeth Fagen to receive input and feedback from students on their school experiences and to address topics of student interest.
The video of the panel will be posted to the district website after the event.
