Gifted and Talented at WMS

At Woodcreek Middle School, teachers provide gifted and talented services to identified students through Honors (formerly known as Pre-AP) courses in the four content areas: RELA, Social Studies, Science, and Mathematics. Additionally, WMS offers extracurricular activities that support academic interests and foster intellectual curiosity. For the current school year, these offerings will include UIL Academic competitions, Science Olympiad and Math Olympiad. Students will have the opportunity to demonstrate professional quality work in alignment with the Texas State Plan for the Education of Gifted/Talented Students through the completion of the Texas Performance Standards Project (TPSP). TPSP embodies the Humble ISD Portrait of a Graduate by developing the inner communicator, innovator, and personally responsible citizen all our students can be.

In the future, we will be looking at possible elective course offerings, advisory pull-outs, etc.
