My name is Ms. Mockbee (Ms. Bee), and I teach English I Advanced. I grew up in Humble ISD and graduated first from Kingwood Park High School, then from Sam Houston State University. This is my fifth year at AHS, and I'm so excited to help my students grow as lifelong readers and writers. I'm also the Sophomore Class Sponsor, so feel free to visit the Class of 2025 webpage to see how you can get involved!
We Use Schoology!
Everything will be posted to Schoology! This includes resources, weekly agendas, and course materials. Please log in through MyHumble or the Schoology app to access our class page. Feel free to reach out via email or message on Schoology with any questions.
Advanced Summer Reading
Advanced English I DOES have a mandatory summer reading assignment for the 2022-2023 school year! This would have been communicated through your middle school English teacher if you went to school in Humble ISD. If you were not previously aware, please choose and read a grade-appropriate work of fiction or narrative nonfiction (no page minimum, but make sure it's on grade-level) by the first week of school!
