• Hello, I am Lisa Newcomb.  I am from Amarillo, Texas and went to West Texas A&M for my undergraduate and I am currently pursuing my master's in Education Administration at Lamar University.  I am planning to graduate in 2020.    I have been married for 23 years and I have three beautiful children.  Abby is 21 and a Speech Pathology major at Texas Tech, Landon is 18 and an Energy Commerce major at Texas Tech (Wreck'Em), and Logan is a freshman at Summer Creek High School.  I love spending time with my family and we enjoy going to the beach, skiing and going to athletic events.

This is my second year at Elm Grove Elementary.  This is my 19th year in education.  I have taught PK-5 as a special education teacher, classroom teacher, reading specialist,  dyslexia specialist and Lead Academic Teacher.   I believe all children have the ability to learn and to be successful.  It is our job as educators to find that talent within each child.  I feel so blessed to touch so many lives and not only teach skills but also teach students about how to be a global citizen and friend to their peers.  I believe every child deserves someone to believe in them.

I am excited about this year, 2019-2020, where EAGLES learn to SOAR!!
