A Little About Your Teacher

Hello! My name is Melinda Villarreal and I will be your child's 4th grade teacher this year. This will be my 8th year teaching. I come from Aldine ISD where I taught 5th grade math/science for 3 years, and 1st grade for 3 years. I am excited to start my 2nd year teaching at Deerwood Elementary!

I grew up in Brownsville, Texas but have lived in the Houston area for 9 years. I graduated from Texas A&M University in College Station with a Bachelor's degree in Kinesiology and a minor in Psychology. Go Aggies!! Whoop!

My Life Outside of School

When I am not teaching, I love to bake, do arts & crafts projects, read, spend time with my family, and get outdoors as much as possible!
