Natalia Albacete
Director of BandsNatalia Albacete is beginning her 12th year of teaching in Humble ISD. She is a graduate of Lamar University, where she majored in Music Education with a focus on bassoon. After college, she worked at Disney where she attended Disney University to study Entertainment, Show Production and Development. She is currently enrolled in the Master of Arts in Band Studies at Sam Houston State University.
"Ms. A" began her professional career at River Pines Elementary, where she began the first Trash Can Band and earned Teacher of the Year in 2013. She then worked as Assistant Band Director at Ross Sterling, where the Honors Band earned the first Sweepstakes at UIL in school history in 2015. After accepting a position as Director of Bands at Humble Middle School, she worked to earn a Sweepstakes at that campus for the first time since 2010. Since then, Ms. A has earned consistent Sweepstakes and "Best in Class" Awards at West Lake MS, creating a tradition of excellence and success.
In her free time, Ms. A enjoys reading, playing video games and hanging out with her furry friends Luna, Padma and Ollivander (Ollie).
