Welcome to Timberwood Track!!!
Because track BENEFITS ALL sports increasing speed, agility, and quickness, we would love for all of our athletes to run track. However, we will choose the TOP 5 times and distance for each event. Athletes must try out for any event that they are interested in. You must train HARD to earn a spot and keep your spot on the team. Again we are looking for the TOP 5 times and distance. Athletes that are not in track will continue the offseason program. In the offseason program, athletes will lift weights, develop speed, agility, and conditioning.
Practice Schedule if you make the Track Team
Most of our conditioning and running will take place during the class period.(7th Graders 1st period and 8th Graders 7th period) BEFORE SCHOOL practice will consist of HURDLES and FIELD EVENTS. Hurdles and Field events will be from 7am to 8:20.
Make up workouts will be scheduled with that event's coach.
(This includes athletes that have missed due to tutorials or illness)
