Hi welcome to first grade! I am so excited to have you in my class this year! My name is Jamie Phelps and this will be my 6th year teaching, as well as my sixth year at DWE and I cannot wait to have another amazing year :)

A little about me.. I have lived in Texas my entire life and went to Humble ISD schools throughout my elementary, middle school and high school days, so it is amazing to now teach in the Humble ISD family. I graduated from the University of Houston Downtown with my education degree in May 2017. I have one daughter named Ava who will be an 8th grader at Riverwood this year :)

We are big animal lovers and we have 3 cats (Witch(black & white), Scream(all black) & Ghost(all white)), a crested gecko (Corn-Dog) and an axolotl (Mochi). We like to travel a lot, however, my FAVORITE thing to do is relax at home and watch my favorite TV shows or movies! I also LOVE going to Comic-Con type events :)

I can't wait to meet and get to know all of our new classmates & families and I am looking forward to having a great year!
