My name is Stephanie Griggs and I am delighted to be your child's teacher this year at Oaks Elementary.

           I am originally from Galveston County, but I have called the Humble area my home for the past 7 years. I graduated with high honors from the University of Houston. My journey to Humble has been nothing but positive, not only for myself but for my family as well.  With 1 daughter entering the 7th grade and a son entering 4th grade here at Oaks Elementary, I must say this year will be eventful. The things I enjoy most are sports, my family, and the unexpected things that kids choose to share. Most of my weekends are spent with family watching my son play baseball or at home watching my daughter dance.  As a homebody, I enjoy being in my own space doing things for myself and my family.  

As your 5th grader prepares for middle school, they must understand how to be a responsible student.  Students will be held accountable for their words, actions, or lack thereof.  As an educator, I completely believe in active learning and STRUCTURED CHAOS.  This means students are up, engaged, participating, and meeting all my expectations, especially during transition times.
