I was born and raised in Houston, Texas.  I graduated from Texas A&M University in 2005 with a degree in Early Childhood Education. I've previously taught 3rd grade, special ed, and preschool.  This will be my 13th year in the classroom and I am so excited to be adding second grade to my list of experiences!  I recently celebrated 14 years of marriage to my wonderful husband, Jason. We have two girls, Addi who is in 5th grade here at GTE & Leah who is in 6th grade at CMS.  They both LOVE school and have been fortuntate to have wonderful educational experences.  I feel so lucky that we get to be a part of a school like GTE with a community of educators that leave such a positive impact on little minds.

Growing up, I was blessed to have many teachers that instilled in me a love for learning and challenging myself.  I knew from an early age that I wanted to have that same impact on little people one day.  I hope to empower my students to take control of their learning, ask questions that are meaningful to them and take risks in the classroom. I look forward to spending the school year getting to know know your child and learning new things with them!
