• All About Me- Brittney Sitler!

Mr. and Mrs. Sitler
  • Welcome to first grade at Greentree Elementary! I was born and raised just down the road in Humble, TX. I am the youngest of five children! My parents were blessed first with a boy, my brother Brandon, who lives in Katy with his wife Amanda, son Carson, and sweet baby Kate! After Brandon came four girls! My oldest sister Rachael lives in League City with her husband Jon and their two ADORABLE kids Ava and Camden. My sister Amanda lives in New York City with her husband Pino. My sister Julie lives close by in Houston with her husband Travis. It was so much fun growing up in a big family. My siblings and I all shared a serious passion for soccer. My parents must have broken a record for most soccer games watched! My parents are retired now and when they aren't out traveling in their RV, they are close by still in my childhood home in Atascocita.

I graduated from Atascocita High School. Shortly thereafter, I began my college career at Blinn in Bryan, trying to figure out the direction I wanted to go. While in college, I landed a job at a Montessori school and fell in love with teaching! Having the pleasure to work at preschools solidified my decision in becoming a teacher. After two years at Blinn, I went on to pursue my teaching degree at Sam Houston State University.  I was so incredibly lucky to be placed at GTE for my student teaching and learn from the best!  I have grown so much over the last five years at Greentree and have loved every minute of being a gator!!

On January 31st, my husband, Evan and I welcomed our baby boy, Evan Hayes Sitler into the world. We have been enjoying every minute of parenthood and are soaking up our time together this summer. We have experienced many "firsts"  with Hayes; the first tooth, first time rolling over, first time sitting up.

I feel the most important part of my job is building relationships and a community of learners, in which all children can thrive! Developing a learning environment in which students feel safe and loved, will allow students to discover passions and become lifelong learners. I am so eager and excited to begin my sixth year as a Gator!! :)
