Hello and Welcome to Third Grade!

    Christy

I am so blessed and excited to have your child in my class.  I will be teaching your child reading, language arts, and social studies.  Thank you for entrusting me with the opportunity to help mold and nurture your child.  Together we will create the "magic" of learning, by inspiring your child to perform at their maximum potential.  I have been teaching for nine years, and this is my seventh year to teach third grade at Atascocita Springs Elementary.

I am a native Humble-ian, I went to Elm Grove Elementary, Atascocita Middle School, and I graduated from Humble High School.  I then obtained a Bachelor's of Science in Interdisplinary Studies at Stephen F. Austin State University, therefore my favorite color is purple - Axe 'Em Jacks!  I am certified to teach early childhood through sixth grade.  I am also G/T and ESL certified.

When I'm not teaching, I love to spend time with my family; hiking, horseback riding at my parent’s ranch, traveling to new places, and on rainy days, I like to bake.

I strive to provide an environment that will allow your child to grow both academically and emotionally.

At Atascocita Springs Elementary we provide a curriculum that challenges your child to reach his/her fullest potential.  I believe when parents and teachers work collectively together, children are more confident and work harder to achieve daily, weekly, and yearly goals.   Our classroom is always open to you and I welcome your thoughts and ideas.  I look forward to meeting and working with you this year.
