• Fall Creek Elementary School

    Construction

In June 2006, Joiner Partnership, Inc. was chosen to provide architectural services for the design and construction administration of the new elementary school.  It was decided to build the school to accomodate 755 students. The floor plan of this school is approximately 80,000 square feet.

The plan was to repeat the design that was used for seven other elementary schools, with minor site specific modifications. Joiner Partnership had provided this design for Jack Fields, Humble, Maplebrook, Summerwood, Eagle Springs, and Park Lakes Elementary Schools, as well as River Pines Elementary that was under construction at the time. The exterior architectural design had been modified to harmonize with the architectural style of the Fall Creek development. The school was built on approximately 14.0 acres of land on Mesa Road in the Fall Creek Development on the south side of Beltway 8.

The School Board approved the Design Development Documents in Noovember 2006.

In December 2006, authorization was given to purchase all the land located in Fall Creek Section 32 and 11 lots in Fall Creek Section 33 from FCW, Ltd.

The construction contract was awarded to Gamma Construction Company of Houston, Texas for a projected amount of $11,021,100 in May 2007.

In December 2007, the name of the new school was established as Fall Creek Elementary School.
