Shadow Forest Elementary School

 Construction 

Approval for the purchase of the 10.348 acre site from the Friendswood Development Company, for $306,505 was approved in August 1992.  Also in August, the construction contract was awarded to Gamma Construction Company for $4,878,800.

The contract for the playground equipment was awarded to Ellisor Construction for $132,890 in April 1993.  Also in April, the School Board voted to name the new school Shadow Forest Elementary. 

The School Board accepted the building as substantially complete on July 2, 1993.
