Junior High / Elementary School
A few months before the school opened, it was decided that the school would house Grades 4, 5, 6, and 7. It was then called Lakeland Junior High School.
Teachers during Professional Development, 1965In 1965, when a new Humble High School campus was opened on Wilson Road, the Charles Bender High School building was repurposed to become Charles Bender Junior High School. Beginning with that school-year (1965-1966), Lakeland became an elementary school, housing grades 1-5.
