Welcome to 5th grade! My name is Maria Sanchez, and I am your RELA and Social Studies teacher. This is my 10th year of teaching. All in 5th grade. All at DWE.

   I received my Bachelor of Arts in Interdisciplinary Studies from the University of Houston - Downtown, December of 2013. 

   My husband, Pedro, and I have two children, Rene and Yesenia. We also have two Chihuahuas - Paco and Buddy. 

   I am looking forward to having you in my classroom!
