SCHOOLS OF CHOICE PROGRAM
Humble ISD offers additional Schools of Choice Program options that could enhance your child’s high school education experience.
Kingwood Park High School
Transfers to Kingwood Park High School will be based on a lottery system, to provide equity for all students interested in attending KPHS. As a school of choice, KPHS is open to any student who wishes to apply within the Humble ISD attendance boudaries, space permitting.
Student names will be drawn at random and every student will be given a number in the order his/her name is drawn. The number of students admitted will depend on the number of spaces available for incoming freshmen after accounting for incoming 8th graders from Kingwood Middle School, Kingwood Park's feeder campus.
If applications for transfer exceed the targeted enrollment for the 9th grade, applicants are placed on a wait list in the order previously determined by the drawing. Many students from the wait list do ultimately enroll, but it is impossible to know how many will receive a seat. Enrollment from the wait list is ongoing; students will be notified as seats become available.
Transportation to Kingwood Park High School is based on designated elementary campus pick-up sites.
Quest Early College High School
Quest Early College High School is a small school housed within Humble High School where qualified students can earn both a high school diploma and an Associate's degree or up to two years of credit toward a Bachelor's degree. Although QECHS is a School of Choice, their enrollment process is unique to their campus. Quest Early College High School (QECHS) will continue to accept applications through the end of May even though space may be limited.
For information and QECHS applications, as well as where to submit forms, contact Quest Early College High School directly at 281-641-7300 or www.humbleisd.net/qechs.
