Dr. Elizabeth Fagen
Dr. Elizabeth Fagen was born and raised in Iowa. The daughter of a public school educator, she earned her Bachelors degree from William Penn University in Oskaloosa, Iowa. Dr. Fagen also earned her Masters and Doctoral degrees, as well as her education specialist degree, from Drake University in Des Moines, Iowa.
Dr. Fagen spent her first 12 years in education in Iowa. She began her career as a high school biology and chemistry teacher. She progressed into leadership positions as associate principal, principal, and the executive director of high schools. In Iowa, she ultimately became Associate Superintendent of the Des Moines Independent School District.
She spent the next 8 years as a Superintendent, first as the Superintendent of the Tucson Unified School District in Arizona, and then as the Superintendent of the Douglas County School District in Colorado.
Dr. Fagen became the Superintendent of Humble ISD in July 2016.
