Have you ever wanted to get a behind the scenes look at a public school district?
The Humble ISD Community Leadership Academy is open to citizens that want to build their understanding of Humble ISD, including the processes and programs that operate within.
This program consists of five half-day sessions from October to March. The agendas for these sessions will include tours of campus and district facilities and opportunities to visit with school board members, administrators and staff. Each session will begin at 9:00 am and conclude by 1:30 pm.The session dates for the Community Leadership Academy are:- October 26
- November 30
- January 25
- February 22
- March 29

Objectives of this academy are:
Participants will learn about the Board of Trustee's role in making Humble ISD fiscally and academically exceptional.
Participants will learn about district operations and the impact thereof on the education of students.
Participants will learn about programs and curriculum that are chosen to support students academically.

Topics covered in last year’s program:
- How Humble ISD budgets and expends funds
- Measures to keep students and staff safe
- How Humble ISD personalizes the educational experience
- Addressing the mental health needs of our students
- Language Acquisition Programs in Humble ISD
- Career and Technical Education opportunities for middle and high school students
- And many campus visits!

This academy is free and open to all residents in the Lake Houston area, but there is a limited capacity of only 35 available spots each year. Anyone interested in participating must submit an application by Sunday, September 11th.
