  • Coach Ervin begins his 12th season as the Head Track and Field/Head Cross Country Coach of the Bulldogs of Summer Creek High School. During his first nineyears here at Summer Creek Ervin has led school record holder Jake Bootz to the State XC Meet twice, advance his team to the Regional XC Meet 5 out of the 6 years and has had countless Athletes make the All District Team. 
     
    Ervin looks to guide the Bulldogs to greatness in the newly formed 22-6A District which features the following teams: Kingwood, Atascocita, Humble, Dobie, Memorial, Rayburn, South Houston, Pasadena.
     
    Ervin was named head coach after serving as a assistant coach at Atascocita High School for several years.  He served as the Head Track and Field Coach at Cypress Springs High School in 2007. Ervin ran track at the University of Houston where he competed in the 400 and 800 meters. After the completion of his collegiate career he served on the Track and Field Coaching Staff at U of H. Ervin begin his collegiate career at the University of Kansas, where he was a member of the Jayhawks' 4x400-meter relay team and competed in the 800 meters.
     
    Born August 19, 1980 in Jasper, Texas, Ervin was a high school All-America selection at Westbury High School in Houston. His twin brother Elton Ervin is the Head Track and Field & Head XC Coach here at Summer Creek High School.
  • Coach Christopher graduated from Munster High School. During her time at Munster, she was a four-year varsity letter winner in track, co-captain of the track & field team, regional champion in the 400, and two-time state qualifier in the 400 and 4x400.

    After graduating high school, Coach Christopher attended Indiana University where she majored in Spanish and competed on the Women's Track & Field Team. There she ran the 400, 600, 800 and 4x400. She also competed in the preliminary rounds of NCAAs in the 800 and 4x400 all while earning Academic All Big Ten. Being an advocate for student athletes, she served as President of the Student-Athlete Advisory Committee.

    Coach Christopher began her coaching career in Indianapolis where she taught Spanish and coached track while earning her Master's degree. For the last five years she coached and taught in Cypress Fairbanks ISD (the 3rd largest district in Texas) where she coached multiple regional and state qualifiers in the throws, 100 and 300 hurdles and the 4x400.
