Girls Head Coach Franchelle Davis
  • Franchelle Davis was born on December 25,1991 and raised in Houston, Texas. Graduated from Hightower High School and was number 3 in the state of Texas in the 100 meter in 2010 with a personal record of 11.59 at the state meet in Austin.Franchelle Davis was a household name during her years at Hightower as she was a 100M champion at various meets (TSU,Texas Relays, Rice).

    Coach Davis was highl recruited out of high school and signed an athletic scholarship to Texas Christian University where she was able to compete on the NCAA national stage along with qualifying indivudially in the 100M and 200M for NCAA Regionals. Coach Davis then transferred to Texas State Unversity to finish her athletic career where she placed 3rd in the 60M and a finalst in the 200M at the Southland Conference before she became injured which ended her athletic career. Coach Davis graduated from Lamar University with a Bachelor of Science in Corporate Communications in 2016.

    Coach Davis started her coaching career at  Hightower High school as a JV Head Coach and Varisty assistant as the Hurricanes sprinted to a 3:39 4 by 400M State Gold medalist and national leader for that season. Coach Davis became a head coach at Stafford High School in 2017 and brought the program to a District and Area Champions in the two short years during her tenure. Coach Davis was able to coach a 4 by 100M relay team and a 300M hurdler to the 4A state meet. 

    Coach Davis recently married her childhood sweetheart Trevon Davis in March of 2019 and is very excited for her and her family to join the Summer Creek community and looks forward to bringing many success and new life to the program

Assistant Coach Ruth Christopher
  • Coach Christopher graduated from Munster High School. During her time at Munster, she was a four-year varsity letter winner in track, co-captain of the track & field team, regional champion in the 400, and two-time state qualifier in the 400 and 4x400.

     

    After graduating high school, Coach Christopher attended Indiana University where she majored in Spanish and competed on the Women's Track & Field Team. There she ran the 400, 600, 800 and 4x400. She also competed in the preliminary rounds of NCAAs in the 800 and 4x400 all while earning Academic All Big Ten. Being an advocate for student athletes, she served as President of the Student-Athlete Advisory Committee.

     

    Coach Christopher began her coaching career in Indianapolis where she taught Spanish and coached track while earning her Master's degree. For the last five years she coached and taught in Cypress Fairbanks ISD (the 3rd largest district in Texas) where she coached multiple regional and state qualifiers in the throws, 100 and 300 hurdles and the 4x400. 

     

    She is excited to join the Summer Creek Family and is looking forward to using her experience to render continued success for the track & field program.
