Teaching your child is a tremendous responsibility and I will do my best to ensure that each student has a safe and motivating learning experience in this upcoming year. However I cannot do this without the help of you, the parents.  We are partners in the learning process.

I believe that parent-teacher relationships are necessary for maximum school success.  Throughout the year I will communicate through my website, notes, telephone calls, emails, report cards and parent teacher conferences.  I encourage you to contact me if you have any questions for concerns at any time.  You can send a message through Remind, phone call, send a written note or contact me via email.

Your child should bring his/her Science composition book, pencil, sharpener, eraser and highlighter to school each day.  These items are to travel back and forth with your child each day, unless otherwise stated.  Composition books will contain things learned in class and homework.

    Good afternoon Parents and Guardians,

We had an awesome time reviewing for the upcoming test utilizing activity stations.  Students rotated from table to table, where they actively participated in six different activities.  They had to read, write, match vocabulary and cell organelles with their functions.  Please have your son/daughter study their Quiver foldable (which should be colored and filled out).  Quiver is a augmented reality app, which has a quiz and review function.  If your child does not have the information to review, please check out www.padlet.com/ywingo/cell_organelles .  It has a picture and the function of the different organelles.  Please email if you have any questions or require any additional assistance.

    Thank you in advance,

    Yasmin Wingo Lucas
