I was born and raised in Kansas City, Kansas. I attended college at Pittsburg State University in Pittsburg, Kansas. There received my Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology with an emphasis in Developmental Disabilities. After attending Pitt State I continued my education through the University of St. Mary and earned my teaching degree in 2007. Then I decided to further my education at Webster University for my Master’s Degree. Shortly after I graduated I started teaching in Kansas City, where I taught for seven years.
In 2013 my husband accepted a position to work for the Atlanta Braves as an area scout which required us to move to the Houston area. We have two small boys. Grayson is turing eight years old this September and Oliver just turned six. This is will be my seventh year at Lakeshore Elementary. My previous years were in third grade and second grade. After ten years as a classroom teacher I became an Exended Learning Teacher (ELT) for Lakeshore! In this position I will support the Gifted & Talented and ESL Programs. I also work as a math intervention to support classroom teachers and students.
