I was born and raised in Kansas City, Kansas. I attended college at Pittsburg State University in Pittsburg, Kansas. There received my Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology with an emphasis in Developmental Disabilities. After attending Pitt State I continued my education through the University of St. Mary and earned my teaching degree in 2007. Then I decided to further my education at Webster University for my Master’s Degree. Shortly after I graduated I started teaching in Kansas City, where I taught for seven years.
In 2013 my husband accepted a position to work for the Atlanta Braves as an area scout which required us to move to the Houston area. We have two small boys. Grayson is turing seven years old this September and Oliver just turned five This is will be my sixth year at Lakeshore Elementary. My previous years were in third grade and second grade. After ten years as a classroom teacher I became an Exended Learning Teacher (ELT) for Lakeshore! In this position I will overlook the fourth and fifth grade Gifted & Talented Program. I also work as a math intervention to support classroom teachers and students.
