A little about me....
My husband and I decided to make the Atascocita area our home 15 years ago. I have 2 children that are in 7th and 9th grade here in the district. ESE has been a part of our home since my son started Kindergarten here 10 years ago and I am beyond blessed to teach the kids in our beautiful community.
I am very excited about beginning my 8th year with Humble I.S.D. and my 5th at Eagle Springs Elementary. I am looking forward to what is guaranteed to be an amazing year for the Visual Arts program here at ESE. 2 years ago, I was honored with the title of Teacher of the Year and I was a Top 10 Finalist for District Teacher of the Year. Last year, one of my amazing 5th grade artists was one of a handful of students to have their artwork featured at the Texas State Capitol; an honor only bestowed upon a small amount of Texas studentsThe students will have multiple opportunities to have their Art showcased at ESE and throughout the district, with some of our biggest events of the year being the Humble I.S.D. Rodeo, Youth Art Month, and the Humble I.S.D. Fine Arts Festival. My classroom is not only a place for creativity to flow. The arts are a critical part of your child's development. My time with your child will be spent building character, strengthening academics, releasing stress, increasing fine motor abilities, problem-solving, teamwork ... I could go on and on!Here's to a wonderful year! ~ Mrs. Yoder
