This year looks a little different (cue the Zombies here), so the Atascocita High School Marine Corps JROTC program got creative and will be holding our 7th annual 5K Zombie Run virtually. Our cadets, parents, and staff organize this event annually to raise money for our program, scholarships for our graduating seniors, and to benefit a charity that we support. This year, we've chosen Camp Hope, a retreat for military veterans wounded in the War on Terror.

Gather your friends and family and head out to enjoy the sunshine and walk/run 5K to support Atascocita High School and the MCJROTC program. Turn on that favorite playlist going and run in your neighborhhod! Grab the dog and power walk in the park! Challenge your older siblings who are AHS alumni to a run at a local track! Dedicate your run to a Class of ’21 Senior! Call up a relative out of state and get them to run! You can even log your time while Trick or Treating! Check out our optional map of a marked course in the photo gallery. Remember to practice social distancing guidelines as you run/walk. If the outdoors is not your thing, then you can jump on a treadmill and log the kilometers.

You'll want to be sure to log your time to compete for our exclusive Zombie Run trophies. Categories will be broken into age brackets (0-10), (11-16), (17+), and 1st, 2nd, 3rd will be awarded for each bracket. More info is coming soon on an optional app to help you log your time for submission.

All participants registered before Oct 19th will receive a t-shirt, runners bag, and bib. Packet pick up will be Oct 29th in the parking lot by MCJROTC at Atascocita High School.
