¡Hola! My name is Mariana Viana and I was born in Caracas, Venezuela. I am so excited to start my 6th year teaching Spanish Immersion at Groves Elementary. I can't wait to begin this amazing journey with my 2nd grade Grizzlies!

This will be my 13th year teaching early elementary students. I am a proud graduate of Penn State University where I acquired a Master's Degree in Early Childhood Education with an endorsement in ESL.

My passion is learning about other cultures and I believe languages expand our thinking and give us so much insight about our world. I have visited 21 countries and lived abroad in Paris, France for a year and my journeys have become an integral part of my teaching. I am thankful for the opportunity I have been given to work with children who are learning to become global citizens with hearts full of acceptance and love, and minds that are curious about the world and all its wonders.
