2015 H-E-B Excellence in Education Awards
Humble ISD is the BEST in Texas! On May 3, our district was named the 2015 Large District Winner in the H-E-B Excellence in Education Awards. This honor distinguishes Humble ISD as a leader in education throughout the state, and as a testament to the focused leadership of our teachers, counselors, librarians, nurses, administrators, support staff and board members. Humble ISD is home to an acclaimed program called AeroScience Engineering, operating out of Kingwood and Kingwood Park High schools. Students really get to test their smarts by building rockets and launching them. As if that weren't impressive enough, "Rocketeers" also get to meet with experts from NASA who help them perfect their rockets as they work up to their big launch this spring!
Watch D.O.G.S. (Dads of Good Students) is a national program that exists to involve fathers or father figures in volunteer work at their children's school. Watch DOGS spend the day on campus, helping out in the classroom, lending a hand during lunch and recess, assisting with the car rider lines and everything in between!
The Humble Rodeo and Livestock Show are longtime, local traditions which support our Foundation and in turn support our students! Part of that tradition is our FFA program at each of the high schools, and seeing our students participate in this youth leadership opportunity.

Kindergarten students are exposed to the basics of learning and social development from the first day they enter the classroom. By the end of the year, students have gone from learning ABC's and 123's to reading, writing and mathematics.
