    math Several students from Maplebrook Elementary are among the nearly 150,000 students worldwide to participate in the Math Olympiad program. They compete in a series of five monthly contests of 5 problems each, from November to March, and attend weekly practice sessions where they are taught to solve unusual and difficult problems and to think creatively. The Math Olympiads team is sponsored by 4th grade teachers, Lydia Chamberlain and Jessica Hurley.
