Teaching-

I am very excited about beginning a new school year in Second Grade. This will be my sixth year teaching Second Grade. I previously taught Kindergarten for 5 years in the Humble School District, 3 of those years at Maplebrook Elementary. I have been teaching at Maplebrook Elementary School for 9 years.  I work with a great team of teachers and a very supportive school staff.  I really enjoy being part of such a wonderful school and a great community. 

Family-

My daughter  will be a freshman at college this year.  I miss her, but I do spend time with my mother who also lives in this community. I enjoy getting together with friends who live all around the Houston area.  I have adopted a dog from the SPCA. Her name is Kayla and she is a very sweet dog. She enjoys taking walks with me.

Background-

After college, I moved to Washington, D.C. where I worked for the U.S. Senate.  I also worked for the U.S. Government in Geneva, Switzerland. I  liked meeting people from other cultures and learning a new language.  My favorite job, however, is teaching.  I enjoy building relationships with kids and supporting  their learning.
