Degrees and Certifications:

Mrs. Juarez

I started teaching in 1990 in the North East Independent School District of San Antonio, Texas. I taught 1st grade for eleven  years and then moved up to 2nd grade for two years. During this time I looped with my students and enjoyed this transition. Having my students for two years in a row gave me an advantage and the opportunity to know my students and their families even better. Teaching young children how to read has always been one of my passions.

I started working at Greentree as a tutor for the TAKS test and the following year was asked to join the 3rd grade team. After several years in third grade, I began working as the school's interventionist and  then the Reading Academic Lead teacher.  This year I am continuing as an interventionist and I will be working with students who have dyslexia.
I am proud to be part of Greentree Elementary and the Humble Independent School District. Both of my children went to school at Greentree and graduated from this district!    I believe that Greentree holds high standards for students, builds lasting relationships, keeps all children safe, and instills a love of learning!
