About Me:
Welcome! Thank you for visiting my webpage.
I am entering my 18th year of teaching. I grew up in the Humble area and graduated from Humble High School. I continued my education at Stephen F. Austin State University, where I obtained my Bachelor of Science in Interdisciplinary Studies and Master of Education in Educational Leadership.
My husband and I have been married for 27 years and we have three boys. As you can imagine, we spend a lot of time playing and watching sporting events. In 2013, our family took our first trip to Haiti on a short-term mission trip. We quickly developed a love for the people of Haiti. Our school schedule allows us to spend a lot of time in Haiti serving and loving the people in a small rural village outside of Port Au Prince.
I truly enjoy teaching! My days are always fun and full of variety. I have a great time interacting and learning alongside my students each day.
My Teaching Philosophy:
I believe that every classroom presents a unique community of learners that vary in abilities and learning styles. I strive to help students develop to their potential by creating a positive, safe, and loving environment. It is my goal to teach to the needs of every child so that all learners can feel challenged and successful.
