I'm a native Floridian and love the beach and being barefoot. I have a B.A. in History and Education and an M.Ed in Educational Leadership from Brigham Young University (where it is entirely too cold). I have recently adopted Texas as my new home and love it!
I began my teaching career as a high school history teacher, but discovered my love for the language arts while working as a literacy coach for homeless students in Tampa, Florida. I have been hooked on writing instruction ever since. This is my fifth year teaching at Fall Creek, and there is nowhere else I'd rather be!
I am married with three children, an aloof cat, a smelly pug named Vinny, and a sheepadoodle named Carol who runs the house. When I am not teaching, I can be found consuming microwave popcorn and Diet Coke, burying my nose in a book, singing loudly in my car, or exploring Texas with my family.
