Hello my name is Mrs. Malory Sanchez and I teach reading, writing, and social studies at ASE. This will be my 13th year of teaching and my 8th year at ASE. I have had the pleasure of teaching fourth, fifth, and sixth grade.
I can't wait to get this 2020-2021 school year started and to get to know all of YOU!
A little about me... I was born in El Paso, Texas. During my childhood I lived in California and Arizona due to my father being in the military. When I was 12 we moved back to Texas and I graduated high school in a small town near Ft. Worth called Mansfield. I quickly continued school and graduated from the University of Texas at Arlington (Go Mavs!) where I studied Kinesiology with a focus on clinical research, sports medicine, and a minor in biology. In my high school and college career, I spent much of my time interning and volunteering in all departments of a hospital and clinic. Before becoming a teacher I worked in physical therapy. I loved working with all of my smaller patients and thought about how much I would really enjoy teaching and of course I fell in love with this profession. However, my love for writing about science is still never ending. =) I moved to Houston 10 years ago and married a very special person, my husband Ryan.He is a fourth generation conductor for the railroad. We have two daughters, Gianna Sophia and Mila Alexa.Gianna is 4 and Mila was just turned one in June. We also have 2 other furry kiddos, Lola and Raz. I have a great love for my family, running, and traveling!
