• Current 6th and 7th grade students who are wishing to advance levels of math need to complete the form at the link below and turn it into their grade level counselor. This form is only for students wishing to advance their level (On level Math to Pre-AP Math OR 6th grade Pre AP Math to Algebra). The test is not mandatory, but only an option for those students wishing to progress in math.
    Below is the typical math progression for students. If 6th grade students in Pre-AP choose to take the test to advance to Algebra and make an 80 or higher on all required 3 required tests, they would take Geometry as an 8th grader for high school credit.

    Current 6th graders in on level will choose to take the first option, "6th grade Level Mathematics," and will take one test.
    Current 6th graders in PreAP will choose both options, "6th grade Level Mathematics" and "7th grade Level Mathematics", and will take three tests. Students may want to choose two testing dates since they will be taking three 90 minute tests.
    Current 7th graders in on level will choose the second option, "7th grade Level Mathematics" and take two tests.
    The test location is at 4810 Magnolia Cove, Kingwood, TX 77345. The testing will take place from 8:30-3:30 and students need to arrive by 8:30. Students that finish early may leave when they have completed their portions of the test.
