    Meet Mrs. Dougherty

Hi! My name is Mrs. Dougherty and I am SO exited to be teaching third grade this year at Lakeshore Elementary!! More importantly, I am THRILLED to be your teacher! It's going to be a fun year full of learning and new adventures and I can't wait to see what the year has in store for us. I want to know ALL about you, but first I'm going to tell you a few things about me.

I was born in Humble, Texas and grew up in Huffman. When I graduated from high school, I moved to Nacogdoches to attend Stephen F. Austin State University (Axe 'Em Jacks!). I majored in Elementary Education and later moved back to the area to be closer to family. I started my teaching career in Huffman, where I taught kindergarten for five years. This is my seventh year at Lakeshore and will be my second year to teach third grade!  I absolutely love school myself and can't wait to pass my passion for learning on to you!

My husband is a Montgomery County Constable and we have been married for 10 years. We have an eight year old son, Blake, who is also in third grade at LSE, and our little girl Brenna just turned three. We also have a very energetic dog named Maddie Sue. They are SO much fun and constantly keep us on our toes. We enjoy doing things as a family, especially swimming, bowling, watching movies, and spending time in the hill country!

I am excited to be your teacher this year and for you to be a part of our class! I am looking forward to creating memories together and watching you grow! Let's make this a great year!
