Mrs. Pamela Smith
I think that it is important for children to be immersed in an environment of exploration, stimulation and discovery. This, combined with care, love, nurturing, understanding, and patience will help my students to become eager and successful learners.
With these principles in mind, I believe the third component in helping a child achieve success is the partnership established between teachers and parents. Your child will continue to have more responsibilities as they move into third grade, and they will need OUR help to develop positive routines that encourage achievement. I am very happy to be a part of your child's team this year!
Family/Education/Professional Experience:
My husband, Scott, and I have four children: 2 sons and 2 daughters. Our oldest son, Timothy, a KHS grad, went to SFA, while our youngest son, Luke, a KPHS grad, went to LSU. As a lifelong Razorback fan, I never imagined we would have so much purple in our house! Our daughters, Caroline and Abby, are former WCE Cardinals. Caroline is a Junior at KPHS, and Abby is a Sophomore there this year. We also have a beagle named Finn. He turned 2 in June. We love watching our girls cheer for KPHS, going to sporting events, catching a good movie, and riding our bikes along the greenbelts.
